SA Youth Tri Series – Round One Wrap Up

by Australian Sailing - Emma Short

The first round of the Tri Series was held on the October long weekend at Port Lincoln Yacht Club, with 40 sailors travelling from Adelaide and 18 local Port Lincoln sailors.

The conditions were quite mild on both days, with some shifty breezes keeping the ROs on their toes. Stuart de la Perelle and Andy Dyer, along with all the PLYC volunteers, did an excellent job running the racing, and providing good hospitality on shore.

Shevaun Bruland, YSA President, presented the medals during dinner on Sunday night.

This event has prizes for each round, overall prizes and a club prize.

After round one the club points are:-

1.       710 - Adelaide Sailing Club

2.       529 - Largs Bay Sailing Club

3.       496 – Port Lincoln Yacht Club

4.       321 – Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club

5.       277 – Goolwa Aquatic Club

6.       46 – Victor Harbor Yacht Club
