YMBA Age Grading Groups 2018
Dear Parents,
Welcome to all our new parents and also welcome back to all those parents that have had children playing in our domestic competition.
YMBA utilizes a grading system rather than the Age group system in the U12-16/under age groups.
The idea of the grading system is to encourage all of our players to improve by competing against children of similar ability.
Children’s ages and ability are still taken into account and the committee will oversee selections – we are aiming for balance within our teams, and for all players to continue to develop their skills no matter what level.
This grading system was a major success in our competitions last year. This flexibility in the grouping has allowed for us to grow the competition and offer more ages the ability to play.
If there is any parent/s that has any concerns about this new format I would be happy to explain it in more detail if they wish. Also if by chance that you have a child that could possibly be affected by these changes could you please contact me to discuss your concerns.
I wish all players and parent/s the best of luck for this upcoming season and if by any chance that any parent/s wish to get involved in coaching, scoring or helping with any age groups we would appreciate the help.
