Congratulations to Jyi Oakes
Local Sunshine Coast Football player Jyi Oakes has been signed on an 18 month youth contract by Brisbane Roar after impressing the Roar youth talent scouts at a recent trial with the club.
Jyi Oakes has been with Buderim Wanderers FC for the previous 4 seasons, he joined the club at 13 years of age and has since under the guidance of BWFC coaches and staff developed into an excellent football player and young man.
All of Jyi's previous coaches at BWFC, the clubs culture, philosophy and style of play have played a massive part in his development and where he is today.
His current BWFC coach Angelo Cootes is extremely happy and proud as is everyone at BWFC and Sunshine Coast Football of Jyi's achievements to date as a Buderim FC U15 and 17's player.
Jyi is also a product of Warren Crickmore's TDP Academy and the coaching, guidance and football knowledge he received from Warren was first class, he travelled to Korea in 2016 as a direct result of association with the BWFC and the Korean Football Academies.
