Western Pride have secured the first silverware in club history after a 90th-minute Dylan Wenzel-Halls freekick lifted them to a 2-1 Grand Final win over Moreton Bay United at Briggs Road Sporting Complex.

Jets captain Alex Janovsky had pulled his team level with a curling left-footer with five minutes left on the clock, but Wenzel-Halls capped off a fantastic personal season with his well-timed winner.

Pride's opener arrived in simple fashion midway through the first half, as Joe Duckworth floated in a freekick for Cameron Crestani to volley home from six yards out.

Pride's win continues the unpredictable history of PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland, as the competition has now seen five different winners in five seasons.

Briggs Road was packed out with 3,383 rowdy supporters, and Pride sent their fans home happy after a historic night in Ipswich.

The late loss was painful for Moreton Bay, but the Jets can still consider 2017 a great success, after a run into the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16 and a win over Premiers Brisbane Strikers in the PS4 NPL QLD Semi-Finals.
