Goal Correction For FNQ Heat

FNQ Heat

Words: Staff Writers

A Football Queensland review has concluded that FNQ Heat’s Christopher O’Hare will be credited with the weekend's opening goal against Western Pride.

Match referee Trent Sleeman advised Football Queensland on Monday that he had misidentified the goal scorer in submitted match documentation following the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Round 14 fixture at Barlow Park on Saturday, June 18, 2016.

The tenth minute goal was originally credited to Heat player Kieran Sanders on the official team sheet by the referee, which was also signed by the Heat club delegate post-match.

Football Queensland has since reviewed the match footage of the goal in question and concluded it corroborates the referee's advised correction by clearly showing O'Hare as the scorer.

Official match records will now be updated to identify O'Hare as the scorer of the respective goal.
