Fire In Saif Hands

Sunshine Coast FC have wasted no time replacing the departed Paul Arnison – confirming Sam Saif as the Head Coach for the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues season.
The announcement comes less than a week after the resignation of Arnison and just four days out from Fire’s PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues opening round clash against Western Pride.
The highly credentialed Saif holds both UEFA ‘A’ and AFC/FFA ‘A’ coaching licences and is a former Assistant Academy Director at well-known English club Sheffield United.
Saif is also highly regarded for achievements in Football Brisbane competition following a period of extended success with Brisbane club Wolves FC where he won two Premierships and three Grand Finals.
Last year he coached Mitchelton FC to their highest league finish in their 95-year history.
Saif brings with him Assistant Coach Paul Edwards, who holds a UEFA ‘B’ licence and previously worked with Saif at Wolves.
Fire Technical Director Melvyn Wilkes believes Saif appointment is a boost to Fire ahead of what looms as their most competitive season of PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues football yet.
“I am absolutely delighted to have someone of Sam’s calibre leading our senior team and even more delighted that his assistant comes with a UEFA “B” licence which places the team in very experienced hands,” Wilkes said.
