A second-half strike from Michael Lee has secured a crucial three points for Brisbane Strikers away to Moreton Bay United on Saturday night.

Lee's 69th minute strike proved to the difference between the two sides, with the Strikers consolidating second spot and the Jets falling a rung to fifth.

Both sides shared chances in the first half with Jake McLean looking the most dangerous for the visitors.

Gregory Cheshire had the game's best opportunity on the stroke of half-time, grazing the crossbar at the end of a quick counter-attack.

Both sides once again tested the respective keepers before Lee finally broke the stalemate with a well-struck shot finding the top corner.

The Jets had a late chance on the cusp of stoppage time, but couldn't convert, meaning they would be held scoreless for just the third time this campaign.

Neither side face PS4 NPL QLD action for a fortnight when the Strikers host FNQ Heat and the Jets travel to face the Young Roar.
