Coaching Announcements MJFC U17s 2019

It’s with great pleasure we can announce the following U17 coaching appointments for the historic season of 2019 at MJFC.

As announced at our information evening, 2018 Under 17 Coach Adam Harris has been appointed coach of the top graded side.

Two MFC senior players have been appointed as co-coaches of the Development side, Jesse Uren and Sam Howell.

Jesse is now in his 2nd year at MFC joining the senior club from Ferntree Gully last season.  Eligible for U19s this past season, Jesse played all games in Mitcham’s senior side.  He is a 4 time junior premiership player at FTG as well as a TAC Eastern Ranges 16s development squad player, and is highly respected as a leader amongst his peers.  Jesse has also been an EFL umpire for the past 5 seasons.

Sam is heading into his 5th year at MFC. Sam joined the U15s last year as an assistant coach and proved an instant hit with the group.  This experience has further enhanced his passion for coaching.  A former FHFC & EBFC junior, he has held multiple leadership positions throughout his football and other sporting teams, recognising his maturity, commitment, and self-discipline.

Further announcements about the support groups around all these coaches will be announced in the lead up to the season.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our 1st training session on the 11th of November (venue, time tbc).

Should anyone know of any potential players wishing to join MJFC for next year could you please pass their contact details on to Jeff Howell (0448103720).

All of these coaches have committed to further develop the next generation of MFC players.

Please join us all in welcoming the appointments of these 3 coaches for season 2019.
