The Mitcham Junior Football Club is extremely happy to announce that Josh McConnell will continue to Coach our Under 8 Mitcham Yellow team in 2016.  The club will make an announcement on the coaching appointment for our second Under 8 team (Mitcham Black) when the selection process is complete. Josh and his team had a fantastic season 2015 in their first taste of “real” football.  The early and very cold Sunday mornings was a test of character for all at times but the boys were always up for the challenge.  With the step up from AUSKICK, the season was all about growing a skill base and making sure that every player got to play in a variety of positions on the ground and particularly to have the opportunity to kick some goals.  The boys acquitted themselves really well and put in some really dominant performances throughout the season.  Season 2016 will be much of the same with lots of new players coming into the teams combining with those who have stayed down from 2015.  Josh is looking forward to a really exciting year, once again helping the kids learn the skills of our great game while having so much fun with their mates.  It’s what junior football is all about.  The Under 8’s will of course be looking for new recruits so if you know of anyone interested in playing footy next year, get them to jump onboard the tiger train in 2016!
