It is with great pleasure that the Mitcham Junior Football Club announces the appointment of Mark Ross as coach of the Under 12’s for Season 2015. Many people at the club would know Mark due to involvement over many years with various teams both within the football and cricket club.  He has had over 10 years of experience coaching junior cricketers from the introductory Milo Cricket, through to Under 10, 12 and 16 age groups.  He also served on the Mitcham Cricket Club Junior Committee for 8 seasons.  Mark coached junior football at Under 10 level at St. Johns Mitcham as well as assistant coach of our Under 10’s in 2013.  He was also Gavin Wards runner at Under 14 level in their premiership year of 2012.  Mark has a lot to offer this age group and he will be a tremendous coach and mentor to this team and the club as a whole, Which makes for another fine appointment for the Mitcham JFC as part of our 8 days 8 coaches.  keepi checking back @ for a full listing of all coaches as a new coach is announced every day for 8 days

We would also like to say a big thank you to Leigh Walters and Grant Pietersen who have stepped back from coaching this group.  Leigh had been involved as coach for two seasons and really worked hard at developing the kids to comfortably play in positions all over the ground when called for and at the same time have the team play a really attacking and attractive brand of football.  Grant co-coached with Leigh last year and did a terrific job.  Well done guys, the club is pleased that you will be staying involved with the club in 2015 and beyond.
