A GREAT NIGHT OF COMEDY

The Mitcham Junior Football Club held its third annual “Comedy Night” last Friday night at the Mitcham Sporting Club. Once again it was a fantastic night with over 120 people enjoying a night of fun and laughter with Lehmo and the Nelson twins.

This is a night where families from all our teams get together in a great social environment without worrying about the kids or games of football. We thank everyone who attended and all who donated and bid for goods and services for our raffles and auctions. This helped to make it a most successful evening, both socially and financially, for the Mitcham Junior Football Club.

The Committee would like to thank Gavin Ward for not only playing a huge role in organising the night, but also being such a tremendous host of the evening. We are so lucky to have someone like Gavin at our club. He has so much commitment and drive, and is always looking for an opportunity to improve things for all our kids and families involved. We are indebted to you “big fella!”

We would also like to thank Senior President, Matt McCubbin for his continued support. Matt along with senior players, Pimmy and Jacko did a great job behind the bar and their contribution to the smooth running of the night is greatly appreciated. Great to see that Pimmy and Jacko both played good games the next day against Whitehorse Pioneers, with Pimmy booting slotting through six!

Thank you to The Mitcham Sporting Club for supporting the evening. The pre-dinner platters on each table were magnificent! Well done Eric and Al!

We also want to say a special thank you to those who helped set up on the day – Melissa, Nicole, Luke, Al, Eric, Gavin and Glenn.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
