BIG announcement at The Mitcham Senior Football club Presidents luncheon yesterday when Michael Sukkar Liberal candidate for Deakin announced that if elected, the Coalition will fund $30,000 for the construction of a much needed net at the northern end of Walker Reserve to stop footballs disappearing over home owner’s fences on Match days.

Micheal also threw his weight behind the junior club when he also made a very generous donation of a trailer to help the junior club in their operations.

Michael, has lived, worked and been a part of the Deakin electorate all of his life. He grew up in Ringwood and attended secondary school at Aquinas College and went on to say Having been born and raised in our local community, I’m passionate about the need to get more things done for Deakin and am impressed with the way Mitcham Senior and Junior Football clubs have rebuild over the last couple of years.
