GRAND FINALE THIS WEEK

The Mitcham Junior Football club Auskick program winds up this week for season 2013 after a fantastic season for over 90 boys and girls for the last 16 Friday nights. Craig Giles and his merry band of helpers have done a fantastic job in putting together a fun and varied Auskick program in 2013.

Just last week the Auskickers had a great time taking on their Dad’s under lights at the MCG of the East.  Having the parent’s line up and then all the kids running through the banners must have inspired the young Tigers as all three games ended up being comprehensive wins to the Auskickers.

This week’s Auskick session is there last for the year and will incorporate the trophy presentation into the evening.  They will have an Auskick game to start the night and then go into the clubrooms and each child will receive a trophy.  There will also be a free sausage sizzle for the Auskickers.

The Mitcham Junior Football club is extremely grateful to Craig Giles for his excellent work in establishing one of, if not The Best run Auskick programs in the city of Whitehorse.

Just this week the club received this from a parent (Names with held for privacy reasons)

Hi Craig,

Thank you for running such a great Auskick program this year. It is my son xxxxxxx first year and he has just loved every week.

xxxxxx knew nothing about football at the start of the year. He was part of your introductory session at Mitcham Primary School in March and since then xxxxxx has become a committed Hawks fan, knows all the terminology, the order of the ladder, a lot of the player's names and has a goal of playing in the AFL one day. He is constantly kicking his football around our backyard and into the neighbour's.

This is amazing, because the interest in football in our house prior to this was near zero.

You have inspired all of this. Congratulations

Regards

xxxxxxx
