This weekend the MJFC Under 13s travelled down to Bayswater to The Boxing Powerhouse for a fitness session in the gym.  It was a great turn out with only one of our squad of 26 players missing - he was playing in a cricket grand final!  Great effort guys!

The session began with some skipping and push ups followed by some running.  There were several red faces and much panting before the gloves were brought out.

The boys enjoyed the glove work but quickly learnt that what looks easy is not always so.  Punching your partners gloves, above your head from the mat after doing a sit up is strenuous work - Even Cam and Glenn can vouch for that!

A highlight for the boys was the tug-of-war where they had to battle hard and work as a team. Overall it was a great session where the boys had to really push themselves and their team-mates at times.

We as a team would like to thank Frank and everyone involved at The Boxing Powerhouse.  Not only did they donate their time to us, but they did so with much energy and enthusiasm.  We hope to return for another session later in the season.
