While it’s NO back yard blitz, Mullauna College’s football and soccer grounds are undergoing a makeover thanks to the Mitcham senior and junior football clubs. Junior president Luke Smith said that the Mitcham Football and Cricket club are very fortunate to have the use of the college grounds and in an era of clubs NOT being able to train on their ovals out of season, school grounds have become very important for football clubs pre season training.

Luke went on to say that it’s was only the right thing to do when the College asked for help in fixing the watering system at the school. Mullauna College is in Mitcham and a lot of kids from our footy club go there and as a matter of fact a lot of our senior players also went there. Mullauna College is as Mitcham as The Mitcham Footy club itself and they get a lot of calls from other sporting groups and EFL clubs from outside the Whitehorse area looking to use the facilities, but the reality is they're not in our council, they don’t have kids that go to the school and they certainly don’t help out with the up keep of the grounds.
