Become a Referee!

Glenelg Touch is always on the look out for new referees, and what better environment to learn than the social fields of Adelaide Shores! We are fortunate enough to have some great experienced referees at Glenelg Touch, all of whom would be happy to share their knowledge and experiences with you.

To become a referee, you will need to:

Step 1: Complete a level 1 referee course. Please contact James Avemarg on 0439 494 864 if you wish to attend a course.

Step 2: Pair up with an experienced referee and dual-referee some matches (paid $12 per match). Referee Coaching will occur during this process which involves a qualified coach giving you some help and pointers to improve your refereeing.

Step 3: You will be assessed as a level 1 referee. Please note that your match payments increase as your referee badge level increases (level 2 $14, level 3 $16 etc.)

By refereeing one game per competition night you will cover your individual playing fee for the year, and you will have made a significant contribution to the success of the Glenelg Touch Association! Get involved :)

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
