A reminder regarding Uniform compliance + bench/reffing duties
Now that we are into Round 5 of our Winter Season, it's time for a reminder about some of our competition expectations.
Every week, all Senior (Wednesday night) teams are required to provide a bench person as well as provide a referee for their allocated time.
Please advise Jason Berry by Tuesday night at firstname.lastname@example.org with the details of the referee you have organised.
The weekly duty roster will be emailed each week, and posted to Facebook. Those few teams that have missed bench duty in the past two weeks will be deducted points in the coming days in accordance with our previous warning, and teams affected by this will be notified accordingly.
This Round 5 will also be the final week's grace for uniform compliance. This applies to all nights of competition including our junior and senior comps.
All teams will be required to have a complete matching set of uniforms from next week (Round 6) which is to include matching singlets and shorts. Where teams do not have team shorts they will be required to wear plain black shorts.
Teams that do not have matching uniforms will be deducted four game points for each player out of uniform.
With some of the close games we have seen over the last couple of weeks this could definitely be the difference between winning and losing.
In addition to all the above we would appreciate if you could please notify the competitions committee at email@example.com in the instance where your team needs to forfeit. Unfortunately when teams forfeit, it still means we need to ensure an allocated bench-duty and referees are covered. We also need to ensure the affected teams are adequately notified.
As a result we are in the process of developing our forfeit policy which will be communicated shortly and will include penalties for any forfeits that are notified without giving 24 hours notice.
