Sharing the crown

In a remarkable count at Traralgon’s Century Inn on Monday night, Haberl and Howe squared off in the final round of the season, with the former polling three votes and the latter two to leave them tied on 26 votes.

Police Boys’ Rogan Rutter finished runner-up with 19 votes.

TEDAS sensation Thomas Hamilton capped a stellar individual season by scooping the under-14 best-and-fairest award, with an astonishing 34 votes – 10 clear of runner-up Thomas Said of Southside.

Hamilton also claimed the Jason Boulton Memorial Under-14 Leading Goalkicker Award, while Pax Hill’s Jake Healey took home the Chris Zotti Memorial Under-16 Leading Goalkicker Award.
