starting Term 3.
Term 3 sees a new look Monday Junior School competition kicking off, setting the stage for a Bigger and Stronger competition.
With basketball having an influx of new players in recent times, Lismore basketball and help from Sponsors are going to supply all teams with new singlets.
Along with new singlets we have decided to also bring in a number of new idea’s to enhance the new look competition.
- All players will be required to wear BLACK shorts (NO POCKETS) as the stand colour playing uniform. No colour strips or printing will be allowed.
- Black sport skins will be allowed to be worn as an under garment.
- NO coloured Tee shirts or Singlets will be allowed to be worn under playing singlet, Players will be allowed to wear a black singlet or sleeveless body shirt under playing singlet.
- All Jellery, watches and piercings to be removed.
- Referees must be dressed in correct uniform – Black & White striped shirt and Black pants or shorts.
- At the completion of each game, Referees are to stand on opposite side line as players file past and shake hands to thank Referees.
- We would also like your help in making this a great experience for our players.
- We are looking for volunteers to help manage a team by getting the team ready to play, help with substitution and encouraging players as they play. ( No prior coaching experience is required )
- During term 3, we will be holding a Level O coaching course for anyone wishing to learn the basic rules for basketball coaching.
Lismore Basketball would like to take this opportunity to thank all Players, Parents, Carers and Referee’s as we move towards creating stronger basketball in our area.
If you would like to help manage a team in the Monday comp, please come and see Court controller Nathan Darby, or myself Dave McWhirter, or leave your name at canteen.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
