COMMUNITY REFEREES COURSE
Maitland Basketball Association - Community Referees Course

The Community Referees Course is for people who would like to begin refereeing in domestic competitions.
DATE: Saturday 2nd March
TIME: 11am-3pm
COST: $20 (FREE for all registered members of Maitland Basketball)
All participants who complete the online AND face to face course will receive a certificate and referee's whistle.

All applicants need to complete the online course BEFORE attending the course. Please email your certificate to development@maitland.basketball.net.au or print your certificate and bring it along to the course.
Why should I become a referee?
There are so many reasons to become a referee. Here are a few:
- Earn money and work flexible hours
- Be physically active and get fit
- Be involved in basketball (especially if you love the game)
- Gain a better understanding of basketball and its rules

- Improve your life skills (e.g. communication, independence, confidence, decision making and awareness)
