COGG Thanks Volunteers - 1st Eastern Park Scout Group

We are celebrating National Volunteer Week - a partnership project between the City of Greater Geelong, DHS, Volunteering Geelong and the Barwon Network of Neighbourhood Houses.

Local community groups have submitted the following profiles of their wonderful volunteers.

Garth has been a volunteer Cub Scout Leader at 1st Eastern Park (Try Boys) since 2007 when his son first joined. He is responsible for the overall Activity Program for the Cub Scout Pack. Cubs are boys and girls from 8 to 11 years of age. He is assisted by one Cub Scout Leader and 2 Adult Helpers.

The Cubs have a very active program of sport, craft, camping and other outdoor activities that Garth facilitates and enjoys very much. He does a great deal of preparation work before meetings and activities to make sure the Cubs have fun and learn useful things. His efforts are an essential part of our Youth Service Program.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
