There's a New Sheriff in Town

Hi Everyone,

My name is Allan Hilzinger and I have recently been appointed the Business Manager for GCCRBA.

I officially began yesterday (1st June) and I am looking forward to the challenge of helping the GCCRBA successfully grow and reach new heights.

A little bit of background on myself; I am married with two girls (2 years 4 months & 6 months old) and I spent most of my life living around the northern Gold Coast region (Beenleigh & Coomera).

I originally began my basketball management career back in the early/mid 90's when I managed the Beenleigh PCYC basketball competition (I dare say some people still involved in the GCCRBA may even remember the competition).

I later spent numerous years involved with the Beenleigh Blitz Club and Logan Thunder during and after graduating from a sports management degree at Griffith University. I then spent six years in Japan working as a basketball coach while also managing both a club and basketball tour company during that time before most recently spending a year & a half as the CEO of the Darwin Basketball Association.

It is great to be back on the Coast and I am thoroughly looking forward to the exciting challenge of helping lead the GCCRBA further forward.

If you see 'the new guy' around please come up and say hello and introduce yourself. I am sure there are a lot of new faces around the traps these days so I dare say that I don't know the majority of people currently involved in the association, but I am certainly looking forward to meeting and working with you all.

If you have any issues or would like to discuss anything at all, please let me know as it is you the members who will ultimately continue to drive the GCCRBA forward and towards new heights.

See you all around the courts!

Regards,

Allan Hilzinger

GCCRBA Business Manager
