Football Wagga Wagga Development Officer

Term 3 has seen a busy timetable for our Development Officer Liam Dedini. Liam has visited various schools around the region running football programs and teaching basic skills and fundamentals of the sport to the young talent around the schools. The kids have all expressed their enjoyment in the programs and have developed their skills within the sport. Term three saw visits to the following schools: Lake Albert Public School, Mater Dei Primary, Ganmain Public School, Saint Brendan’s Ganmain, Wagga Wagga Christian College and Sacred Heart Primary.

Liam has also been involved with many community programs such as refugee week held at Henschke Primary School as well as the Mini Allympics held at Bolton Park for Secondary school students with special needs. These Students also expressed their enjoyment within the sport throughout these programs.

Students from the following schools and programs learnt the basic fundamentals such as:

  • Striking the ball
  • Running with the ball
  • Controlling the ball
  • Skill turns
  • Juggling
  • Game play

 Hopefully we will these future superstars on the soccer field next year!
