New 2017 Northern Lights Sponsor - Colliers International Canada

AFL Canada would like to thank Colliers for supporting women in sports.

“Sponsorships are essential in helping ease the financial burden on our elite athletes. Thanks to Colliers support, we can further assist our players by reducing some of the financial pressure and allow them to focus on preparing physically and mentally for this competition” (Lachlan Griffiths, AFL Canada’s President)

The Northern Lights are the current International Cup (IC) champions and will be defending their title this year in Melbourne, Australia.  The team with players from across Canada will be competing against other countries, August 5 to 19th.  The IC is a showcase for the sport of Australian Rules Football.  It provides an opportunity for players from across the globe to come together and celebrate the sports reach outside of Australia.   There will be 25 teams representing 18 different nations from North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific who will compete in both a men’s and women’s tournament. More information on IC 17 can be found here http://www.afl.com.au/internationalcup.

“We are excited to support the Northern Lights as they defend their title as International Cup champions. Achieving this goal requires not just an elite level of athleticism, but an incredible amount of commitment, discipline and hard work.” (Lex Perry,Colliers International Canada, Director of Marketing and Communications)

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
