AFL Ontario Women's Pre-Season Recruitment Camp - Toronto

Join the Ontario Women's Clubs and Learn How to Play Aussie Rules Football!

Come one, come all!

Leaders from the women's AFL clubs in Ontario have banded together to support each other in hosting a league-wide recruitment event THIS SUNDAY! The session will run from 11a.m. to 1p.m. on March 13th in the dome at Monarch Park Stadium in Toronto (Coxwell and Danforth minutes from Coxwell station).

The day will be led by Dan Jackson, former professional AFL player from Australia, and leaders and coaches from the clubs. Newbies will be taken through a variety of stations, teaching them the techniques of hand passing, kicking, marking, and tackling! Never heard some of these terms? It seems you might be well placed to join in the fun!

The session is free for new players and you'll have an opportunity to learn about the clubs and choose one to play with. Absolutely no experience is required since you'll learn everything on the day. Just bring a healthy dose of enthusiasm and your sneakers or cleats! Refreshments to follow.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
