Queensland Touch Football is now recruiting for the position of General Manager Operations.
About the organisation:
Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is a member organisation of Touch Football Australia (TFA) and forms part of the strategic alliance with the National Rugby League. The sport is one of Queensland’s most popular participation sports, with over 7500 teams participating annually in affiliated and commercial competitions from Thursday Island and Weipa to Rockhampton, Brisbane and Bilambil. QTF governs six regions and 72 affiliated associations across the state and is responsible for the leadership and management of competitions, representative pathways, events, game development and participation. Leading QTF is a seven-member Board of Directors and a Chief Executive Officer who are responsible for the development, implementation, and achievement of the sport’s strategic plan.
The organisation has entered a new strategic cycle with a vision to unite, inspire and grow by 2020 and within four key pillars are strategies to increase profile, grow participation, support our people and achieve success in high performance.
About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager Operations is responsible for the management, delivery and expansion of all Queensland Touch Football sport operations. This includes the management of day-to-day operations, education and development, accreditation processes, pathways and high-performance programs, while fostering a commitment to the organisation’s strategic objectives with key stakeholders, partners and funding bodies. You will also be required to support the development and growth of Touch Football in six regional areas of Queensland, in conjunction with the regional bodies and Touch Football Australia. There is also the management of the high performance and pathways program, including State of Origin, NRL Touch Premiership, and all other junior and senior representative programs.
This is a critical appointment for Queensland Touch Football and we are looking for a driven, motivated and passionate person who can demonstrate success in program management combined with strategic thinking and strong analytical skills. You will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and sustain deep relationships within, and beyond a sporting organisation community. The capacity to manage people, budgets and resources to delivery high quality outcomes will be critical in this pivotal appointment, combined with the ability to drive and deliver successful outcomes for Queensland Touch Football.
