This revamped development programme is intended to replace our former Junior and Senior Netball Academies and open up the chance for more participants to receive further netball development.  It is a six-week after school programme with a strong focus on performing netball basics consistently well and increasing your confidence as a player. Designed to pump you full of key skills to start your season with a bang!

PAK'nSAVE Kilbirnie NetFix offers the chance for an after-school development opportunity and can serve as an additional skill boost for those already playing to lift their Saturday game play.  Gain an added netball 'fix' by practicing skills in a fun and engaging learning environment. Also learn how to 'fix' aspects of your performance by tweaking technique for greater success.
PAK'nSAVE Kilbirnie NetFix can also be a training option for those who do not have the chance to attend team trainings.  Equally suitable for those new to the sport to gain some tuition and gain a greater understanding of the rules and skills required to successfully play the game of netball.

Sessions incorporate key fundamental basic skills such as:
Footwork - control stepping, develop fast-feet, encourage sharp pre-movements
Movement - create space, lose your opposition, open up passing options
Ball Skills - strong accurate pass selection while on the move, on the ground and in the air
Defence - one-on-one marking, 3-foot marking, front marking, side marking, shadowing, intercepts and timing
Attack - driving into space, balancing the court to bring the ball down the court
Shooting - the correct technique, consistency and performance under pressure.

We strive to keep content as engaging as possible and provide the chance to apply skills learnt into a modified game played within each session.  Full-court 6v6 or 7v7 games may only come into play in the last 1-2 sessions depending on participant numbers.  We have plenty of other fun ideas to challenge players, get you thinking and put your netball skills into good practice.

Those who have previously attended may revisit basic skills yet will gain a further stretched so as to improve upon skills already required.  We aim to extend understanding and game application.

This programme suits all skill levels.  Participants may be divided into skill-based groups where participant numbers allow.
