Please park considerately when attending netball

We know it can get rather busy in and around our two netball venues on a Saturday so here's a polite reminder to take care to plan ahead when visiting ASB Sports Centre & Hataitai Netball Courts.

Please think about...

Planning ahead to time your arrival to coincide with an earlier game finishing to maximise the opportunity to find a park vacated by someone leaving

Be patient - it may result in a few trips around the block but may pay off

Adhering to all parking signs - this includes:

  • No parking in the 2 minute drop off zone when at ASB Sports Centre.  This area is to be kept free for set down only and allows easy access for ambulance call-outs and care of injured people.  Occupying this area is inconvenient for many.
  • No parking in designated Netball Wellington Centre staff carparks both at Hataitai Netball Courts and at the rear of ASB Sports Centre.  Our own staff need to access these on a Saturday so please leave for their use.
  • Taking care to park legally in designated car parks both on the premises and street-side.  Please avoid parking in disabled spaces, blocking driveways or creating make-shift spaces beside painted parking spaces or parking on the footpath.
  • No parking on grass verges or hill area outside ASB Sports Centre.  If an area is cordoned off with cones or tape, please respect that.

Explore parking options further afield in nearby streets and prepare to park & walk if need be!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
