Junior Netball Administrator & Saturday Court Controller - Motu Kairangi

 

MK Term 1 dates at: set for Saturday, 18 February to Saturday, 8 April 2017.
Possibility of ongoing work throughout our winter season and into our term 4 junior programme for the right candidate.  Hopefully the candidate will stay on to allow for continuity from season to season.

 

JUNIOR NETBALL ADMINISTRATOR AND SATURDAY COURT CONTROLLER

•  You are passionate about netball and enjoy interacting with children.
•  You are free to work on Saturdays plus a few extra hours each week from home.
• You are well organised, have excellent interpersonal skills, and are confident working with spreadsheets and Google docs.
If this sounds like you, we have a part-time, contract role available for approximately 100 hours over 10 weeks between early February and mid April. 

ABOUT MOTU KAIRANGI
Motu Kairangi Netball is a satellite of Netball Wellington Centre and provides netball to all Southern and Eastern Zone primary and intermediate schools in 
Wellington through our winter and ANZ futureFERNS programmes.  All games are played on Saturdays at Evans Bay Intermediate School in Kilbirnie.
Our ANZ futureFERNS netball programme is for year 1 to year 4 players. Our term 1 season will run over 8 weeks from 18 February to 8 April.  The 
programme will be repeated in term 4 (mid October to mid December 2017).

SATURDAY COURT CONTROLLER
The Saturday court controller facilitates the delivery of the ANZ futureFERNS programme on behalf of Motu Kairangi by providing a consistent point of contact 
for parents, star helpers and coaches and our junior netball co-ordinators.
The Saturday Court Coordinator must uphold the values, vision and objectives of Motu Kairangi, which include fostering and promoting learning, enjoyment, 
fair play and positive sporting attitudes through playing netball.
We need someone to be based at our portable office at Evans Bay Intermediate School on each Saturday of the Junior Netball season between 9.30 am and 
approximately 3:00 pm.

Saturday duties include:
•  Opening up and assessing court conditions; tidy up and lock up.
•  Briefing parent star helpers and coaches; 
•  Maintaining supplies and equipment for the programme
•  Supporting and mentoring junior co-ordinators in their duties;
•  Ensuring the game draw proceeds smoothly;  
•  Responding to all parent queries on the day and reporting back to the 
Motu Kairangi Management Committee if necessary.

General administration duties include:
•  Managing registrations received from schools affiliated to Motu Kairangi.
•  Compiling a weekly game draw.
•  Preparing a weekly session outline and emailing it to star helpers and coaches.
•  Responding to queries received from school co-ordinators and parents about the programme.
•  Participation in the recruitment process for junior co-ordinators.
• Approving invoices from junior coordinators and forwarding them to the Treasurer for payment.
• Reflection on the previous week’s session and communication of feedback to junior coordinators.
