Referee in the ACT

Getting Started

Referees play an integral role in all Touch Football ACT competitions, both Junior and Domestic, and we know there would be no games without them!

Touch Football ACT would love to hear from anyone who is interested in being a referee in our competitions. If you are interested in having fun, getting fit, making new friends, or getting a bit of money, then consider being a referee. Please email matt.william@touchfootball.com.au .

Each location in both Junior and Domestic competitions has a referee coordinator who allocates referees to games, so alternatively, you can attend one of the competitions and speak with them, and they can get you started.

Our locations are for Domestic Competitions;

Monday- Southwell Park and Deakin

Tuesday- Amaroo and Deakin

Wenesday- Deakin

Thursday- Deakin

Our locations are for Junior Competitions;

Monday- Wanniassa and Southwell park

Tuesday- Amaroo

Wednesday- Kippax

Thursday- Deakin

Touch Football ACT also conducts Level 1, 2 and 3 courses, and we can keep you updated on when the next courses are coming up. These will also be advertised on our website.

For further information on refereeing please call the office on 6212 2880 or email matt.william@touchfootball.com.au .

Referee Payments

Referees are paid from $20 to $25 per game for Domestic Competitions and up to $15 per game for Junior Competitions (all based on single-refereed games).

Referee Payments are generally paid weekly/fortnightly for both Junior and Domestic Competitions.

All referees, both Junior and Domestic, will need to fill out a Supplier Load Form if they HAVE NOT REFEREED FOR TFACT. This form supplies us with your nominated bank account details, therefore if we do not have this form, you can't be paid. If you wish to change your nominated bank account at any time, you will need to fill our another Supplier Load Form.

All referees over the age of 16 need to fill out a Statement By Supplier Form (tax form), to ensure you are exempt from paying tax due to touch refereeing being a hobby.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
