2017 FIXTURE RELEASED

Ahead of the start of the 2017 campaign on April 21, the fixture for the upcoming WNWBL season has been released.

In its 17th season, six teams will compete for the title with the defending Champions Be Active Western Stars facing off against Sydney Uni Flames, Sydney Metro Blues, Minecraft Queensland Comets, Kilsyth Cobras and the Red Dust Heelers who will compete for the first time in the WNWBL.

The season tips off in Perth on Friday, April 21 ahead of a five-round schedule with the finals beginning on July 28 before the gold medal game is held on July 30.

Two teams will play three games each round while three teams will play four games every weekend with one club receiving a bye each round as well.

That totals 15 games for the year with every team ultimately playing the opposing sides three times.

In a bronze medal re-match from 2015, the season begins on April 21 when Sydney Uni takes on Kilsyth while the Stars begin their title defence that night as well before they face the Blues in a Grand Final re-match the following night.

Keep an eye out on the WNWBL website and social media channels in the coming days for previews on all five teams while the full schedule for the 2017 season can be found here.
