Vic Schools Champs 2016 Mixed Divisions Wrap-Up

On Friday 27th May 2016, 20 teams from 13 schools and Affiliates clubs from across the state, came together to compete at the newly revamped 'Bruce Comben Reserve' to complete for the title of 'best Mixed Touch Football' school in the state.

We were particularly excited to have a couple of our affilaited clubs entering teams including Westside TA, Geelong TA and Portland TA, along with our local NRL Victoria club, the Altona Roosters, entering 3 teams as well!

One of the more positive elements of the entire three day's of the 2016 Victorian Schools Championships has been the great turnout and support of referees. A huge thanks to them all who came along.

At the end of the day, and numerous games, these were the Grand Finalists and winners:

U18 Mixed Championships Division:
(8) Haileybury College defeated Luther (1)

U18 Mixed Plate Division:
(6) Thomas Carr College defeated Suzanne Cory HS (1)

U15 Mixed Championships:
(8) Luther College defeated Elwood College (3)

We congratulate all teams on their efforts and a massive thanks to all referees, teachers, organisers and volunteers who have supported the event and it's continued growth.
