2019 QLD SENIOR STATE CUP

Representative Team Coach Applications

Dear Redlands Member,

Applications are now open for RTA Senior Representative Team Coach Positions for the 2019 Qld State Cup, being held over 3 days at Coomera from Friday November 29th to Sunday December 1st.

The Queensland Senior State Cup is being re-established and Redlands Touch is looking to send as many teams full of interested players as possible. The Senior State Cup is a 3 day participation focussed Affiliate verse Affiliate celebration of touch football, with divisions covering ages 16 to over 60, Male & Female and various skill levels. The event is designed to be similar to the Junior State Cup in that teams will play from a vast variety of skill levels, from the elite, through to the new social player. There are 18 potential divisions and Redlands touch would love to send a team in all 18 divisions on offer.

MUSTER DAY: A Muster Day has been scheduled for 9am to 11am Saturday September 14th. This however may not be ideally suitable for some including appointed Coaches, opens & 20s. If this is the case we may need to schedule various musters/trials around the appointed coach’s availability. Mid-week night sessions may be suitable. It is expected the Crushers Teams & players, will make up the Opens & majority of the U20s teams, and will not attend the muster unless the appointed team coach requests it.

It is expected that the Coaches who are selected will

  • Attend MUSTER DAY 9am to 11am Saturday September 14th (Read Above)
  • Recruit local RTA Players to form a squad.
  • Plan, schedule and Coordinate Weekly trainings sessions
  • Finalise a Team by October 11th.
  • Recruit a manager to assist with general team administration and submit team uniform order.

PLAYER RECRUITMENT:            Expression of Interest (EOI)  – Register on the website

Muster days        - September 14th or other dates as scheduled

TID by Coaches   - During RTA weekly competitions

Notices to submit Player Expression of Interest have been posted on the website & Facebook, sent via Communicator emails to all registered players on the database. Posted on notice boards and stapled to the inside front cover of all team sign-on folders. Along with the muster day it is hoped the appointed coach will lobby potential players and encourage them to via for selection.

We are looking forward to receiving your application and see the MIGHTY MUDDIES teams perform to their full potential.
