The Mid West Tribunal convened on 24 May 2019 to hear the striking charge on Glen Tonkin arising from the Elliston vs West Coast Hawks match at Elliston 18 May 2019.
The Tribunal has determined that the case has been proven satisfactorily and player Glen Tonkin is guilty of the charge. The findings of the Commissioner have been read to Glen in finalisation of the hearing. The penalty to apply is:
- Playing ban of two weeks with the next eligible game 15 June 2019(MWFL -Round 8);
- Suspended ban of one week to be applied upon any guilty finding for future reports;
- The suspended match ban shall expire at the end of the 2021 season;
- Glen is not eligible to enter the oval surface (inside the fenced enclosure, including coaches box) for the duration of the A Grade match (match time or breaks);
- There is no restriction on attendance in change rooms or other ground facilities.
