MPJFL vs New Zealand 2017

The Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League have been formally invited to play our U16's & Youth Girls teams against the AFL New Zealand Academy Level 2 U16's Side and their NZ Kahu Youth Girls side. This is a very exciting opportunity for the MPJFL & their players! We will be travelling to Wellington NZ on the 21st April and returning on the 25th April.
The tour will have a variety of cultural, football and friendship experiences available to the travelling teams. The itinerary will include;
- A welcome function on arrival to unite New Zealand and Mornington participants in preparation for the tour ahead
- Two matches against New Zealand Representative teams;
- Under 16 Boys to play the Level 2 AFL New Zealand Academy in two matches
- Youth Girls to play the New Zealand Kahu Youth Girls in two matches
- The opportunity to experience the New Zealand Haka as a challenge of respect.
- Attendance at the AFL New Zealand High Performance Awards Function
- After match functions with the presentation of awards
- Attendance at the ANZAC day dawn service on the morning of April 25th
