2018 REGISTRATION UPDATE

The 2018 Basketball season is heating up with gradings to be held in early February – dates will be confirmed but likely to start 2 Feb (Friday Night) and then Sunday 4 Feb.  There will be additional sessions on the following weekend as well.  Times for age groups and divisions will be sent out in the next week after we have confirmed venues.

Registrations are now closed and we will look at the waiting list we already have to fill any available spots.  We do have availability for additional girls in the Under 11 age group (Born in 2008 or 2009) and if you have a daughter in the Under 13’s, Under 15’s or Under 17’s you would like to be given consideration, please contact the club at celticgc@bigpond.net.au and we will try and place them.

We do want to apologise to all players and parents we could not accommodate in this season.  With our major training venue at Carrara being monopolised by the Commonwealth Games until June, we have had to restrict numbers and teams. We have sourced alternative training solutions but they are limited.

  • Returning players would have noted Celtic Fees have been reduced this season ($330 to $280) as we have not charged for training venues.  We may have had to look at group training sessions (which may still be an option in some cases) so the club will bear this cost for the 2018 Winter Competition
  • As such, it is only fair that priority had to be given to existing Celtics players and they have filled most of the available spots.

To the small number of new families joining the club, a very warm welcome and we look forward to a great season and getting to know you.

To those we have had to disappoint, we will be back to business as usual for the Summer Competition starting in Sep/Oct and would love to get you involved with the club then.
