Ref of the Week - Bronte gives back

Despite her heavy commitments to the sport as a player, Bronte undertook the Level One Ref Course conducted in Batemans Bay earlier this year. We were very lucky to have such a high level course here and Bronte was quick to step up. Since then she has become much more confident as a referee, and has grown into a senior role on Monday night Div 2 games.

It was a big week for Bronte. On Tuesday she was asked to ref one of the Women’s games, and did a great job. Following on from that, Saturday saw Bronte make her reffing debut at the NSW Country Tournament, again rising to the occasion. Bronte said "when my team in Canberra was not entering I thought it would be a great opportunity to give a bit back to basketball by refereeing at the tournament. It was a great day and it felt good to help out because they were very short of referees."

But she couldn’t do Sunday…. It was her birthday.

Well done Bronte. You’re doing a great job.
