WSBL Player of the Week - Rnd 2
THE week two Women’s SBL Player of the Week has been awarded to Stacey Barr of The Local Shack Willetton Tigers.
Fresh off a season with the Fremantle Dockers in the Women’s AFL, Stacey Barr returned to the SBL on Friday night with her new team the Willetton Tigers.
It was an impressive debut for Barr at the Tigers, dropping seven threes on her way to a massive 37 points with 9 rebounds and 2 assists for the game.
Barr’s dominance was the difference between the two teams as Willetton recorded an important 96 to 87 home win over the Cockburn Cougars.
No doubt fitter and stronger after a season in the Women’s AFL, Barr showed this week what a valuable acquisition to last year’s Championship winning team she will be, as the Tigers look to go back-to-back.
