MSBL Player of the Week

THE week six Men’s SBL Player of the Week has been awarded to Maurice Barrow of the S&K Electrical Contracting Geraldton Buccaneers.

The Geraldton Buccaneers faced a tough task on Saturday night when they hosted the in-form Stirling Senators at Active West Stadium, however the newly recruited combo of Maurice Barrow and Matthew Adekponya proved to be the difference between the two sides each with 30 plus point games.

Barrow was exceptional for the home side in their 96-87 defeat of the Senators stuffing the stats sheet with 32 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and a block.

The win now puts the Buccs in equal third position on the standings and they continue to be the only team to have defeated defending champions the Joondalup Wolves this season.

Barrow, averaging 25 points per game along with Wundenberg back in the line-up recovering from injury, Carter Cook finding some form and Adekponya firing, the Buccs look to be a genuine Championship contender this season.
