The Gladstone Amateur Basketball Association is seeking volunteers for the 2013 season. The association is growing and we need your help to keep it going!

Management: strategic perspective

• Set the overall framework of the committee, prioritise its goals, working within that overall framework, set future directions and plans of members, ensuring that planning and budgeting for the future is carried out in accordance with the wishes of the member

Fixtures:

• The Fixtures sub-committee shall be responsible for all matters relating to conducting of all senior basketball games, competitions, publicity, records, grading and representative team selections.

Referees:

• The referee’s sub-committee shall be responsible for the organising, scheduling and control of all referees necessary for the control of all games of basketball conducted by the Association.

Junior Basketball:

• The junior basketball sub-committee shall be responsible for all matters in relation to junior basketball shall control all junior basketball, coaches, players of junior basketball, scheduling and control of all games and competitions conducted for junior basketball.

Volunteering in the basketball community

Would you like to volunteer in a friendly, fun and rewarding environment, then Gladstone Basketball is the place for you. Volunteers are required to assist with various tasks throughout the year. From data entry to preparing game equipment for fixtures, player registrations, helping out on the bar, coaching, score benching or even helping out in the canteen you are welcome to enquire about current volunteering opportunities.
