Basketball New South Wales is pleased to announce that the Hills Basketball Association will be hosting the 2018 Senior Spalding Waratah League Finals Weekend from the 18th-19th of August 2018.

Steve Burke Hills Basketball Association General Manager, said on behalf of the Hills BA, they can’t wait and are excited to be given the opportunity to host the 2018 Senior Finals weekend.

 “We’re excited for Hills Basketball to be hosting the Waratah League Finals Weekend on 18 & 19 August,” Burke said.

“For many years we’ve had the will and the expertise to host an event like this, however our facilities weren’t up to it. After an enormous amount of hard work from our fantastic team of staff and volunteers, we now have a venue to accommodate events like the Waratah League Finals.”

“We believe we now play out of the premier basketball venue in NSW and we’re keen to show it off while hosting this prestigious event. We can’t wait to welcome the NSW Basketball community to the Waratah League Finals,” Burke said.

Basketball New South Wales, CEO, Maria Nordstrom said she is looking forward to the weekend being hosted by Hills Basketball Association and can’t wait to see the development of the league showcased.

 “On behalf of the New South Wales Basketball Board, I want to extend my gratitude to Hills for hosting this spectacular weekend of basketball. Here in NSW we have a long history of exhibiting high-class basketball finals and this year will be no exception,” Nordstrom said.

“The Spalding Waratah Senior League finals weekend showcases all of the hard work and dedication of all of the teams, coaching staff, officials and association.”
