Manly Warringah Sea Eagles v Parramatta Wildcats - Men Semi Final

In the second semi, it was traditional rivals Manly and Parramatta squaring off for the final spot in the final.  It was the Sea Eagles that got off to the best start, opening the contest with a 20-6 run.  Heading into the first break, it was Manly by 13. 

Manly 24 – Parramatta 11

The Sea Eagles continued to surge in the second, opening up a large 20 point plus lead and threatening to cause a blowout.  Behind some trademark Ben Arkell bombs, it was Manly in complete control, going into the main break ahead by 24.

Manly 54 – Parramatta 30

It was of the upmost importance for the Wildcats to start the second half well and they did so, starting with a nice 10-1 run in the first two minutes.  Behind the steady hand of guard Graeme Dann the strong inside presence of Goran Veg, Wildcats cut the lead back to 12.  Manly steadied however and with some late Kevin White threes, maintained their strong advantage, leading by 17 at the final change.

Manly 65 – Parramatta 48

With their season on the line, the wildcats tried their hardest to claw their way back, but the Sea Eagles held firm and never gave up their double-digit advantage.  Behind some strong play from centre Duane Jordan, it was the Sea Eagles who ran out winners comfortably by 19.
