The 2018 Gold Coast Junior Basketball League will have a new structure in 2018.  With the upcoming Commonwealth Games affecting the hiring of venues for our competition, we have had to move games to incorporate five different venues around the Gold Coast and amend playing days to cater for the competition.

All players MUST register via their clubs website.  All Basketball Queensland and Gold Coast Registration fees are compulsory ($110.00) from there all players wishing to participate in the 2018 winter season MUST select a club product to join that club.  Players are only registered with that club if they have selected a full payment product or a part payment product from the club of their choice.

Positions on club teams are very limited next season so please do not assume that you are registered with a club if you have not paid any club fees as you may miss out on a position on a team.

All Gold Coast representative players MUST be registered by the 5th of January 2018.

2018 Season News

As a result of the limited venue capacity, players will only be able to participate in one team in 2018 and this must be in their own age group.

We have introduced an Open Girls competition (division one only) this season which will see each team being able to field players from the U13-U17 age group that play at a high level. These players are the only players that will have an exemption not to play in their own age group.

It will be optional for all current under 12 and under 14 representative players to participate in the 2018 club season due to their representative season not finishing until June 2018.  These players will be given an exemption to trial for the 2018/2019 representative season.
