SUNS Men's SBL 2017

After the announcement of the coaching staff last week for the Men's SBL 2017 team, they wasted no time in getting the ball rolling for the upcoming season.

Head Coach, Christian Terranova said that he wanted to continue to support the 'family' culture at Suns and to recognise loyalty of players who have been with the association as juniors and give back to the club.  It is fantastic to see SBL Players who coach juniors and are active in an association both on the court and off the court.

With this said 3 players have been locked into the upcoming season to show that we are developing our SBL program with the inclusion of players that signifies the past, present and future of the program.

Veteran Steve Allan will be returning this season, not yet finished in his career and strong 2016 season, he brings with him the experience and knowledge of a past player and can help to work with the juniors to develop a team to take the reins in the future.

Joining him on the squad will be Blake Bryant, having played juniors at Suns and advancing as a referee/coach through the association, Blake is where we see the present program and his on court efforts last season and experience playing with the veteran, should see their combination be one to watch this season.

Developing the future of the SBL program is where we will see Robert Reeves make his return to SBL.  Having made his debut in 2015, Robert has worked hard off court and in his BQJBC team to show that he is ready to step up to the next level and contine his SBL journey with Suns.  Having been coached by both Blake and Steve, Robert will easily be able to work with both players on court and will show that Suns are able to bring all 3 elements together in one team.
