New Season - new Committee - New era of CAFL begins

Exciting times for CAFL.

22 footy heads turned up to the AGM to swear in a new committee and support the growth of the game.

Our beloved Tez hung up his Presidents boots after 11 years only to be re-elected umpire co-ordinator.

New President Steve Langridge VP James Bowden,

New Secretary Sam Burnett and Treasurer Jason Beck were elected in unopposed.

Welcome to the new committee members Jamie Exeter, Chris Mintern, Rick van Olphen, Carson Pullyblank, Dave Smith. All clubs represented PLUS

the 4 club delegates who are welcome to each meeting.

Number one goal for 2017 is to have four strong clubs.

We will be focusing on marketing the game in various avenues -online and offline, corporate sponsorship, new ground or facilites, Youth Competition and Kiwi Kick.

If you can lend a hand to any of these initatives -NOW is the time to lend a hand. We need all hands to the pump to make AFL the number 1 chosen sport during Spring and your contribution is welcome.

Our Season starts Saturday 26th August through to November the 5th. Finals series to be advised.

So start recruiting, start training ( Wednesday 6:30 Burnside Park) and let's have a cracking good season.

Next CAFL meeting Monday 19TH June 7pm Redwood tavern.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
