MAITLAND UNDER 12W DIV 2 WIN SILVER
The under 12 Women Division 2 Maitland Mustangs returned from the 2009 NSW Country Tournament with a Silver medal much to the delight of the players, parents and the coaches. With 7 rookies in the team the Mustangs fought their way through to the grand final game from 4th place in pool A. Outstanding defence was the driving force behind the team winning games against more highly ranked opponents, Dubbo and Gosford. Well done girls and especially to Rachel Williams on being awarded the MVP in the grand final game; It is not often a player in the losing team is awarded this award and Rachel is a worthy recipient.
