Labrador Tigers have pulled off an early recruiting coup by signing former Brisbane Lions dual Premiership player Tim Notting for the 2010 QAFL Season

30 year old Notting was taken at pick 26 of the 1996 AFL National Draft and played 208 AFL games and was a member of the 2001 and 2002 Brisbane Lions Premiership sides

He joins Premiership team mate Aaron Shattock at the Tigers and along with Trent Knobel and Jordan Doering adds nearly 400 games of AFL experience to Labrador a club whose highest finish has been fourth place in 2007 since joining the QAFL from the Gold Coast AFL in 1997

In 2009 under new coach Jarrod Field the Tigers finished seventh but recorded excellent home wins against Southport, NT Thunder, and the Brisbane Lions. The club has worked hard on a development model that has them in good shape as they enter the 2010 season

Labrador Club Development Manager Ryan Kogelman stated “We are delighted to have a player of Tim’s stature at the club and believe his experience will add further dimension to our developing list”

He added “Tim will also be joining forces with Major Sponsor Patton’s Big Gun Butchers to do promotional work and the loyal sponsors of the Tigers were thrilled to have Tim on board as part of their business”
