FSC 2018 WOMEN'S AWARDS NIGHT

The Builders Club hosted the 2018 Football South Coast Women's Competition Awards with University claiming two Women's Division 1 accolades while Albion Park's Michelle Foscarini walked away with the Player of the Season gong.

 

Foscarini held off fierce competition to be named the region's best player with teammate Rylee Mcgartland and University's Kristen Gorgieski also nominated for the award. Foscarini continues to be an integral figure for Albion Park who won the League, Grand Final and State Cup treble with the side still in contention for the Champion of Champions. The roaming fullback capped off a stellar local season where she was also named Phyllis Knight Player of the Match in her side's 3-0 Grand Final win over the Unicorns.

 

University coach Brod Crighton was award the Coach of the Year after guiding a youthful side to second-place and the Grand Final while Gorgieski picked up the top tier's Golden Boot for her 21 goal haul in the regular season.

 

Others praised on the night include Thirroul's Women's Youth League custodian Shahne Hocking who claimed the Belinda Barter Goalkeeping Award and Kiama's Hayleigh Fisher who was awarded the Dot Reed Stephenson Club Person of the Year.
