We're after a Community League Convenor

The Men’s Football Council is seeking a Community League Football Convenor to assist with the supervision and management of the Community League Competition as a member of the FSC Men’s Football Council.

This is a voluntary role and a great way to get involved with local football and sports administration as part of an integral competition on the South Coast.

Primary Accountabilities and Duties

  • The Convenor will be required to lead a Community League Working Party Group and work with the Head of the FSC Men’s Council and FSC Staff in relation to the following areas:
    • Provide advice on the strategic direction of the competition
    • Recommend revisions to rules and processes
    • Liaise with clubs and teams across all areas of the competition
    • Coordinate Final Series and functions including the Presentation Night

 

  • Liaise with the Referee Council and Men’s Football Council as required on competition matters

 

  • Relationship Manager and liaison point with all clubs / teams across the competition

 

  • Attend FSC Men’s Football Council Meetings which are held once per month

 

  • Schedule and Chair meetings with the Community League Working Party and Clubs/teams as and when required

 

Qualifications

  • Involvement in the Community League at some capacity (player, coach, manager, etc) – therefore has a detailed understanding of the rules and competition structure with a minimum 2 year’s experience
  • Have a keen interest in football and knowledge of all local competitions
  • Has the ability to build and manage relationships with members of the football community
  • Willingness to devote time to the role on weekends and non-traditional hours as required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

External: Member Club representatives, Players, Coaches, Referee’s and sponsors
