Girls Skill Acquisition Program (GSAP) – Trial Dates and Details


Football South Coast is proud to announce the trial dates and details for the 2016 Girls Skills Acquisition Program (SAP). Please refer to the following details: 

Background

The GSAP is a program introduced by FNSW for girls U10 and U12.  The program is designed to supplement the training girls receive at their grassroots clubs, offering a development opportunity that will increase the skill level of the girls entering the talented player pathway competitions.

Fourteen girls will be selected via a trial process across each age group.  Players selected will represent Football South Coast playing once per fortnight as part of the program in addition to their club football.  Training will be held 2 nights per week prior to the commencement of the season and once per week after this.


The coaching staff for the FSC GSAP Program will consist of:

U10’s

Trial Location:

Ian Mc Lelland Park, Kembla Grange 

Trial Dates and Times

Trial 1: 8th November, Sunday 

Times: 

U10:       9:00am to 10:15am

U12:       10:30am to 11:45 am

 

Trial 2 for required players:  10th November, Tuesday

Times: 

U10:      4:30 to 5:30 pm

U12:       5:30 to 6:30 pm

 

Trial Process:

All players who wish to be considered for a position will be required to attend the first trial session.  Successful players only from each individual trial date will receive an email to notify them of their required attendance at the following trial.

Age Requirements

U10’s – born on or after 1 January 2006

U12’s – born on or after 1 January 2004

What to bring:

  • Football Boots
  • Shin pads
  • Water bottle
  • Ball


Trial Registration

All interested players must register their Expression of Interest for the trials.  Please click HERE to complete details.  All Expressions of Interest must be received by 5pm Friday, 6th November.
 

Final selection acceptance:

Successful players who are offered a position within a squad will receive an email of notification and must make their final acceptance of their position by 5pm Friday, 13th November.

 

Gear Fit Out:

In order to correctly size players for their 2016 gear, a fit out day will be held on Saturday 12 December.  Times and venue will be confirmed should your child be successful in gaining selection to the program.

 

Program Cost and Inclusions

  • 40 Training sessions
  • 10 games and FNSW / FSC Gala Days
  • Gear will include; playing strip, training strip, tracksuit, polo shirt, spray jacket and ball
  • Anticipated cost is $1100
